A newly created Census 2021 page has been created within our JSNA website, to ensure anything relating to the 2021 Census can be found in one place together. You can find this page under the overarching topic menu or by clicking here.
23RD FEBRUARY 2023
The annual update of the JSNA People and Places Summaries have been produced for each of the three Berkshire East local authorities. The latest report is now available and can be found here. These have been split into sections to understand the demographics of the overall population, specific age groups, key health conditions and as a ‘place ‘(deprivation, housing, environment and crime).

Demography and migration data from the Census 2021 is now available through our online Berkshire Observatory. This includes information on household and resident characteristics, international migration, population and household estimates.

As part of ongoing developments, a news page has been added in the navigation bar. This includes all current and past latest news posts.

As part of the feedback received from the initial launch, How-to videos have been created and are now available on the website. These include an overview of the website structure, navigation guides and tips for using the Topic Packs. It is a statutory duty to publish and keep up to date a statement of needs for pharmaceutical services and this is called a Pharmaceutical Needs Assessment (PNA), The latest PNAs for Bracknell Forest, Slough and Windsor and Maidenhead (RBWM) have now been published and can be found here.
The purpose of the PNA is to inform local plans for the commissioning of specific and specialised pharmaceutical services, which is then used to support the decision-making process for applications for new pharmacies or changes of pharmacy premises undertaken by NHS England.

The Berkshire East Healthy Behaviours Health Needs Assessment (HNA) has been developed across Berkshire East to understand the health needs and behaviours of the local population in relation to excess weight, diet, physical activity, smoking and alcohol use. This is to inform the commissioning process for adult focused health behaviour services.

30th JUne 2022
The Berkshire East JSNA website was officially launched on 30th June 2022.
The website has been improved using the invaluable feedback received from Berkshire East local authority and health staff, as part of a consultation in January/February 2022. To see a detailed list of the developments that have been made, please look at the ‘You Said, We Did’ report in the Help section of the website.
A brief guide has also been developed to provide tips on how to navigate the website.

Mental Health will be the next section to have a detailed Topic Pack completed. This has been prioritised by the Berkshire East local authorities and is expected to be uploaded in early 2023. An announcement will be added to the ‘Latest News’ section when the Packs are available
